The death of Mrs. Viola R. SULLIVAN, formerly of Douglasfield, occurred at the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home on May 02, 2009. Viola [JARVIS] was the wife of Lawrence [Larry] C. SULLIVAN, of Douglasfield. She was the daughter of Goodrich and Madeline [SHANKS] JARVIS. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was president of the Twilight Gems for several years.<br /> She is survived by five sons and two daughters: Frank [Carolyn], of Miramichi, Bill [Iris], of Lower Newcastle, Lawrence [Mildred], of Alberta, Rita DELANEY, of Saint John, Mike, of Miramichi, Margaret [CURTIS] Saskatchewan, Danny, of Manitoba; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. <br /> She is predeceased by her nine brothers and three sisters. <br /> Mrs. Viola SULLIVAN rested at Mahers Funeral Home Miramichi, NB on Tuesday May 5th and on Wednesday May 6th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday May 7th at 11am from St. Michaels Basilica with Fr. John Fraser Celebrant, con-Celebrant Fr. Allison Mahoney. <br /> Active pallbearers were: Derek SULLIVAN, Allan SULLIVAN, Daryl SULLIVAN, Melvin INGALLIS, Curtis SORGENSON and Shawn TREVORS. Honorary pallbearers were: James TREVORS, Fred TREVORS, Gary TREVORS, Eric TREVORS, Philip HOLLAND, Everett QUANN, Harry STARK, Pam SHEPPARD, Leah MOORE, Herb TREVORS, Leslie JARVIS, Stephen JARVIS, Michael JARVIS, George SULLIVAN, Rick CARTER and Margie WALSH. <br /> Interment was in St. Michaels Cemetery.
