DIED IN FIRE - <br /> Word has been received on Monday by Mrs. Thomas ALLISON, Boom Road, of the death early that morning of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Glenn ALLISON, of Oshawa, Ontario, in a fire which destroyed the family home. <br /> The fire, which was thought to have started in the basement, broke out around four oclock and although Mr. and Mrs. ALLISON and their three children: Lynn, 16, Robert, 12 and Randy 8, had all fled the burning building, Mrs. ALLISON returned to salvage some items of value and was unable to escape. <br /> Mrs. ALLISON, in her early forties, was the former Evelyn MERCER of Glace Bay, N.S., and besides her husband and three children, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert MERCER, of Glace Bay. <br /> Morris ALLISON of Whitney and Claude ALLISON of Sunny Corner travelled to Oshawa to attend the funeral service and burial of their sister-in-law there on Wednesday.<br /> Source: North Shore Leader - March 15, 1973
