The death of Edythe Mae [HARRIS] ALLISON, wife of James ALLISON, of Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home, and formerly of Sunny Corner, NB, occurred on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 85. Born in Boom Road, NB, she was the daughter of the late Willa HARRIS MUTCH. Edythe was a member of St. Stephens Presbyterian Church, Sunny Corner, NB, member of the Ladies AID, Fellowship Group and Womens Missionary Society at St. Stephens Presbyterian Church and a retired custodian from NSEE, Sunny Corner.
Besides her husband, Edythe is survived by one daughter, Hope [Leslie FLETT] of Miramichi, NB; three sons: Lenley [Carla], of Strathadam, NB, James Dean [Patti], of Sunny Corner, NB, Cyril [Brenda], of Moncton, NB; one sister, Mary YOUNG, of Sunny Corner, NB; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her mother, Edythe is predeceased by one son, Currie [1975].
The family will receive visitors at Meadows Funeral Home on Monday, August 17, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from St. Stephens Presbyterian Church on Tuesday at 1 PM with Rev. Gillis Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Stephens Presbyterian Cemetery, Boom Road, NB. Donations may be made to the St. Stephens Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
