Mrs. Rita Mary SCOTT, wife of Winfield SCOTT, of 1142 Route 425 Hwy, Whitney, NB passed away Sun. Sept. 5, 1999 at Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Little South West, Miramichi, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary [ESTEY] DENNIS. She was a retired clerk at Whites Pharmacy, and a member of St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. <br /> Besides her husband, she is survived by three sisters, Stella WOOD, of Miramichi; Vera HAMILTON [Blake], Theresa DENNIS, all of Whitney; 2 brothers, Louis [Patricia], of Scarborough, ON, and Lawrence [Kathleen],of Miramichi. <br /> She was predeceased by her parents; brothers: Alphonse, Morrissey, Vincent, Jack, Albert, Leonard and Kenneth; and sisters, Gertrude and Bessie. <br /> The remains rested at Davidsons Funeral Home, 597 King George Hwy., Miramichi, with visitation Mon. from 7-9 and Tues. from 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wed., Sept. 8, from St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank, with Father David Fulton officiating. <br /> Active pallbearers: Francis, Thomas, Albert and Jerome DENNIS, and Ashley SCOTT, and David WOOD. Honorary pallbearers were: Zeta SOMERS, Janice DUTCHER, Shirley DOIRON, Loretta MacALLISTER, Shawna STEWART, Donna KENNY, Selly DAWSON, Claira LARSON, and Wendy MacALLISTER. <br /> Burial followed in the church cemetery. Davidsons Funeral Service Ltd. was in care of arrangements. <br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - September 14, 1999
