Mr. Douglas William ALLISON, of Miramichi, passed away at Miramichi Hospital on Wed. Nov. 16, 2005 at age 73. Born in Bridgetown, Douglas was the son of the late Alexander and Mary [MALLEY] ALLISON. Douglas was a trucker until his retirement. <br /> He is survived by one brother, Arnold, of Miramichi; and one sister, Lillian DORAN, of Miramichi; and several nieces and nephews. <br /> Besides his parents, Douglas was predeceased by two brothers: Roy and Dave; two sisters: Leona CURTIS and Pearl BLACKMORE. <br /> Visitation Thursday Nov. 17, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service held at the FH Chapel on Friday at 11 am with Rev. Charlene Maguire officiating. Organist, Jacqueline Allain, sang: Be Not Afraid, In the Garden and Here I Am Lord. Remembrance read by Gloria ALLISON; scripture reading by Brenda FARRELL. <br /> Active pallbearers were: Gary ALLISON, Percy [Butch] BLACKMORE, Chris BLACKMORE, Steven CURTIS, Billy DONAHUE, Glen DORAN, Kevin DORAN. <br /> Burial was in Miramichi Cemetery. Donations to the Palliative Care Unit appreciated. Arrangements were in the care of Northumberland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant St. telephone 622-7741. <br /> Source: Miramichi Leader, November 25, 2005 - Note: Northumberland Funeral Home website, includes his half-sister, Josephine PRICE.
