Martin ROBICHAUD, of Escuminac, died Tuesday afternoon, April 5, 1983 on arrival at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Chatham. Born in Escuminac 65 years ago, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin ROBICHAUD Senior. He was a veteran of the Second World War having served overseas with the Canadian Artillery.<br /> He is survived by a brother, Gerard, of Escuminac; four sisters: Mrs. Allison MARTIN [Margaret], of Escuminac, Mrs. Roy TAYLOR [Delima], of Montreal, Mrs. Raymond WEDGE [Lucille], of Baie Ste. Anne, and Mrs. Donna LEGER, of Saint John.<br /> The body rested at the Baie Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church where mass was celebrated on Friday, April 8 by Rev. M. Fortier. Prior to the mass a Legion service was conducted by members of Chatham Branch No. 3 RCL under the direction of Charles Savoy.<br /> Pallbearers were: Paul, Donald, Ferdinand and Norbert MARTIN, Ernest DURELLE and Gerald ROBICHAUD.<br /> Interment will be in the parish cemetery at later date. Arrangements were in the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham.<br /> Source: Northumberland News - April 20, 1983
