The death of Mr. Jean [John] RICHARD, husband of Rosalie [CYR] RICHARD, of Escuminac, occurred on Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at lH?pital Stella-Maris-De-Kent at the age of 84. Born in Escuminac, NB, he was the son of the late Azade and Flore [LOISEAU] RICHARD. Jean was a veteran of WW II and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 3. He was a retired fishery officer and a carpenter.<br /> Besides his wife, Rosalie, Jean is survived by six sons: Yvon [Sheila], of Baie Ste-Anne, Rejean [Diane], of Rexton, NB, Marcel [Karen], of Fredericton, NB, Jean-Paul [Claudine], of Dieppe, NB, Robert [Ella Marie], of Miramichi, NB, Etienne [Tracy], of Barrie, ON; two daughters: Helene BROWN [Edgar], of Bathurst, NB, and Francine THERRIAULT [Real], of Dorval, PQ; one sister, Aurelie TURBIDE, of Baie Ste-Anne; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. <br /> Jean is predeceased by one daughter, Gis?le THERIAULT; one son, Ajitor RICHARD; one brother, Elier; and three sisters: Julia, Alcima, and Marianne. <br /> The family received visitors at the Ste-Anne Roman Catholic Church, Baie Ste-Anne, on Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated from Ste-Anne Roman Catholic Church, on Saturday, at 11 a.m.with Father Robert Savoie officiating. Music was provided by Mireille McINTYRE and Monique MARTIN. Readers were his granddaughters, Chantal RICHARD and Lucie SAVOIE.<br /> Active pallbearers were his sons: Yvon, Rejean, Marcel, Jean-Paul, Robert, and Etienne. Honorary pallbearers were his grandsons: Ronald, Colin and Patrice THERIAULT; Reno and Jacques RICHARD; and Marco SAVOIE.<br /> Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 3 held a service and also formed an honor guard.
