Eugene RICHARD, age 88, of Baie Ste-Anne, passed away on Thursday, April 22 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst. He was the husband of Estelle THERIAULT [RICHARD]. Born in IIes de-Ia Madeleine, QC, he was the unique son of late Jean RICHARD and late Genevieve D AMOUR. <br /> Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Monique SCHOFIELD, from Beresford; two sons, Julien [Colombe] RICHARD, Miramichi, Gaston RICHARD [Carmelle DEVEAU], Dieppe; five grandchildren: Lise [Rodrigue] GUITARD, Josee SCHOFIELD [Denis BELLEMARE], Guy [Kelly] RICHARD, Stephanie [Mathieu] SHANNON, Renee RICHARD; three great-grand-children: Jonathan, Zoe, and Adelyn; three sisters-in-law, Eva LeBLANC, Lorraine THERIAULT and Therese THERIAULT; nephews, nieces and cousins. <br /> He was predeceased by his parents, his step-father, Abdon ARSENEAULT; and his son-in-law, Charles SCHOFIELD. <br /> The family received parents and friends at the funeral parlor in Baie Ste-Anne, Sunday, April 25th from 2 pm to 4 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm. Visitation also on Monday, April 26th from 9 am until the funeral mass which was at 11 am from St. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Baie Ste-Anne with Fr. Robert Savoie Celebrant and Con-Celebrant Fr. Jean-Marc Guerette. <br /> Active pallbearers were: Benoit THERIAULT, Real DAIGLE, Guy RICHARD, Omer RICHARD, Ovide THERIAULT and George LeBLANC. <br /> Arrangements are in the profess-ional care of Mahers Funeral Home, Miramichi NB.<br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - April 30, 2010
