Norma Shirley [JACKS] PURCELL passed away peacefully on Aug. 7, 2003, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital after a valiant battle against cancer. Norma was born in England.<br /> She is survived by her husband, Patrick; daughters: Yvonne and Cathleen, of Miramichi; son, Sean, and his wife, Julie; and two grandsons, Stephen and Michael, of St. Stephen. Norma is also survived by six sisters and one brother in USA and England.<br /> At Normas request, there will be no visitation or funeral. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. May her ever-loving soul rest in peace. Arrangements entrusted to Mahers Funeral Home, Miramichi, telephone 773-4321.<br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - August 19, 2003
