The many friends of Mrs. Alexis PETERS learned with sincere regret of her sudden passing on Thursday, January 3. Mrs. PETERS had been in failing health for the past two years, but recently she was improved, so that her death at the home of her son, Freddie CORMIER, of Toronto, was unexpected.<br /> Deceased was the former Beulah HACHEY of Newcastle, and was twice married. Her first husband predeceased her some years ago, and she is survived by her second husband, Alexis PETERS, Town Marshal of St. George; one son, Freddy CORMIER, of the Grive Motors, Toronto; and her father, James HACHEY Sr., of Newcastle. Also left to mourn are two sisters, [Clara] Mrs. Charles FITZPATRICK, of Malden, Mass., [Sadie] Mrs. Norval LARSEN, of Newcastle; and seven brothers: Fred HACHEY, of Cambridge, Mass., Charles, of Bryenton, Owen, Benjamin, Edward, James and William, all of Newcastle.<br /> The remains arrived in Newcastle on the Ocean Limited Saturday afternoon at 1:30 oclock, and were taken to the home of her father where they rested until Sunday afternoon when funeral services were held at 2:30 oclock to St. Marys Church Service was conducted by Rev. J.C. McKinnon of St. Thomas College, Chatham, and present in the sanctuary were Rt. Rev. Msgr. J.J. McLaughlin and Rev. John Wallace.<br /> The pallbearers were five brothers and one brother-in-law: Benjamin, Owen, James, Charles and Wm. HACHEY; and Norval LARSEN. <br /> Interment was made in St. Marys cemetery, with A.J.
