Arthur R. (Art) ADAMS, 86, of Eastman, died Monday, Jan. 04, 1993, at the Dodge County Hospital. He was born in New Brunswick and had lived in Eastman for the past 20 years. He was a member and deacon of Central Baptist Church, former moderator of Dodge County Baptist Association for eight years, a member of Eugene Smith Masonic Lodge 279, of Dorothea Chapter 436, Order of the Eastern Star. He was a retired railroad employee and employee of Marriott Hotels.<br /> <br /> He is survived by his wife, Stella PEACOCK HALL ADAMS, of Eastman; daughter-in-law, Marilyn ADAMS, of New Jersey; two granddaughters, Kimberly ADAMS, of Miami, Fla., and Tonya ADAMS, of New Jersey; two half-brothers, Tom ADAMS and Melvin ADAMS, both of New Brunswick; two step-daughters, Cornelia MALONEY, of Morrow, and Gina BROWN, of Eastman; one step-son, Butch HALL, of Hawkinsville; several nieces and nephews.<br /> <br /> Pallbearers were: Clifford PEACOCK, Glenn PEACOCK, Gary PEACOCK, Shannon GIDDENS, L.C. COFIELD and Jack ENGLE. The deacons of Central Baptist Church served as honorary pallbearers.<br /> <br /> Sacred organ selections were rendered by Trudie Satterfield, Kathleen Conner and Ada Champions sang. <br /> <br /> Arrangements were in care of Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman. Funeral service was held Wednesday, Jan. 6, at 3 p.m. at Central Baptist Church, Rev. Alvin Lewis and Rev. Bobby Ritch officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Eastman.<br /> <br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - January 27, 1993
