The death of Yvonne Melvina ONEILL, RN, wife of the late Robert King LEVANGIE, of Fredericton, NB, and formerly of George Street, Newcastle, NB, occurred on Friday, October 01, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB, at the age of 88. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late John N. and Matilda [CONNOLLY] ONEILL. Yvonne was a member of St. Marys Roman Catholic Church, Newcastle, a retired nurse working most of her career in Montreal. She also enjoyed teaching and writing.
Yvonne is survived by one sister, Molly DALTON, of Newcastle, NB; two brothers, Peter and Bill [Terry], all of Trail, BC; nieces and nephews: Marilyn GALLANT, Nicholas, John, Donald, Michael and Patrick ONEILL, Betsy SMITH, Colleen ONEILL, Ronnie DALTON, Debbie THOMPSON, Pamela KHAN, Katherine HUNTER and Kevin ONEILL.
Besides her parents and husband, Yvonne is predeceased by sister, Gladys WALSH; brothers, Nicholas and Louis; and nephew, David WALSH.
The family will receive visitors at Bells Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Marys Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday at 11 AM with Father Tom Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Marys Capital Campaign. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Bells Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB. E1V 1N9.
