The death of the late Gerald Elwood ODONNELL, of Doaktown, husband of the late Nora [STOREY] ODONNELL, occurred on July 7, 2006 at his residence. Born in Carrolls Crossing, NB, he was the son of the late Finlow and Martha [AMOS] ODONNELL. Gerald was a heavy equipment operator with Russell and Swim Ltd. He loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing, hunting and especially sailing the river. <br /> He is survived by two daughters: Gracie RHYNARD, of Doaktown, and Joanne [Lloyd] STOREY; two brothers: Samuel, of Fredericton, and Ramsey [Lena], of Carrolls Crossing; two sisters in-law: Lea and Marion ODONNELL; one brother in-law, Roy ODONNELL; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; special cousin, Betty FLANAGAN; and five god-children. <br /> He was predeceased by one daughter, Peggy ODONNELL; three brothers: Winston, Perley, and Mont ODONNELL; two sisters: Annabella POND and Gretta ODONNELL. <br /> Visitation was held from Miramichi Valley Funeral Home on Sunday July 9, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service took place from St. Andrews Anglican Church, Doaktown, on Monday at 11am with Father Andrew Fraser and Canon RB Stockall. Burial followed in St. Andrews Anglican Church Cemetery. <br /> Pallbearers were: Allen ODONNELL, Bedford ODONNELL, James ODONNELL, Harold ODONNELL, Oland ODONNELL, and Orville POND. Honorary pallbearers were: Lloyd RUSSELL, Myles RUSSELL, Claude RUSSELL, Malcolm ODONNELL, Eric ODONNELL, Bill CHARTERS, John STEWART, Ernest ARBEAU, Clarence TAYLOR, Darrell ODONNELL and Richard ODONNELL. <br /> Remembrances to St. Andrews Anglican Church or the Parkinsons Society would be appreciated. www.miramichivalleyfh.com <br /> Source: Fredericton Daily Gleaner - July 11, 2006
