The death of Florence Inez ALLEN, of 220 Robertson Street, Miramichi, NB, widow of Charles ALLEN, occurred at Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Monday, June 9, 2003. Born in Burnt Church, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Muriel (HOVEY) ANDERSON. She was a homemaker, and clerk at the family-owned business, Allen Bros. Ltd. for 46 years.<br /> <br /> Survived by 2 sons: Steven [Steve] & Danny [Helen], all of Miramichi, NB; one sister, Phyllis (Dr. Fred UFFLEMAN), of Kitchener, ON; four grandchildren: Daniel, Bradly, Philip, and Charlie.<br /> <br /> She was predeceased by two brothers, Carl and John; and two sisters, Blanche and Helen.<br /> <br /> Visitation at Bells Funeral Home, Tues. and Wed. Funeral service was held from St. James and St. John United Church, on Thursday, at 2 pm, with Rev. Sandrabelle Rogers officiating. <br /> <br /> Active pallbearers: Jack WALSH, Les SAUNDERS, John FORAN, Tom PAISLEY, David ANDERSON, and Bernie McALLISTER. <br /> <br /> The chief and members of the Miramichi Police Force attended in a body and formed an honor guard. Burial in Miramichi Cemetery, Miramichi, NB. Donations may be made to the NB Diabetic Association or NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.
