Mrs. Adela [Dell] MOAR, widow of Fred J. MOAR, of Chatham, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 1981 at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Chatham following an illness of several months. Born in Chatham 89 years ago, she was a daughter of the late Archibald and Margaret [MANDERSON] FORREST. She was a member of the CWL and Hotel Dieu Hospital Aid.<br /> She is survived by three sons: Fred and Ian, both of Chatham, and Dr. Donald MOAR, of Saint John; a daughter, Mrs. R.L. LaCHAMBRE [Jean], of Chatham; and a sister, Isabel, of Harrisville, R.I.<br /> A son, Kenneth, died three years ago.<br /> Rested at Mahers Funeral Home, University Ave., Chatham. Funeral mass celebrated Sun. pm, Feb. 5, at St. Michaels RC Church by Rev. B.M. Broderick. Present in the sanctuary were Msgr. R.M. Hickey, Rev. A.L. McFadden, Rev. A.B. Connell, Rev. P. Bagley, Rev. J. Dunn, Rev. V. Donovan, and Rev. R. King.<br /> The pallbearers were: Pat MOAR, Michael MOAR, Rick LaCHAMBRE, Jimmy MOAR, Charles MOAR, and Fred WALLS.<br /> Entombment was in the receiving vault to await interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.<br /> Source: local newspaper clippings [courtesy the collection of Avadne Connolly]
