Mr. Hector MERCURE, 72, of 223 Winnipeg Crescent, Miramichi, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2006, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Baie Ste-Anne, he was the son of the late Fred and Lina [MARTIN] MERCURE.<br /> Hector is survived by special friend, Meda TITUS; daughters: Johanne MAILLET [Roger], of Ste. Anne De Kent, Linda LEGER [Louis], of Shediac Bridge; son, Marc [Anise], of Richibucto Village; childrens mother, Vitaline MERCURE; sisters: Dorina MAILLET [Rene], of Mass., USA, Claudette MERCURE [Jean-Jacques], of Montreal, Quebec, brothers: Odilon MERCURE, of Baie Ste-Anne, Allain [Angela], of Moncton, NB, and Rudolphe, of Baie Ste-Anne; six grandchildren: Luc, Gaetan, Julien, James, Josee, and Kayla; two great-grandchildren: Katherine and Caroline; and many nieces and nephews.<br /> He is predeceased by infant daughter, Marie; sisters: Eva NOWLAN, Neomise MANUEL, Delima ROBICHAUD, Laurina NOWLAN, and Marita WATSON; and brothers: Alfred and Leonard.<br /> Visitation at the Baie Ste-Anne Slumberoom, on Saturday, August 19, Sunday, August 20, and on Monday, August 21, from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, August 21, at 4 p.m. from Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Baie Ste-Anne, with Fr. Robert Savoie officiating. <br /> Active pallbearers were: Luc MAILLET, Bryan TITUS, Gaetan MAILLET, Christian ROBICHAUD, Louis MERCURE, and Gerald NOWLAN. Honorary pallbearers were: Rosaline DURELLE, Adeline MARTIN, Allison and Adrienne MARTIN, Adrien and Ernestine MANUEL, Daniel and Lucie-Anne McINTYRE, Alphonse and Rose-May DOUCET, Charles MERCURE, Joel MERCURE, Rosaire MANUEL, Fabien MANUEL, Fernand NOWLAN, Elmer MARTIN, Veronique MARTIN, and Francine MAZEROLLE.<br /> Interment was in the church cemetery.
