Mrs. Adelaide McLEAN [Addie], of Strathadam, widow of Frank McLEAN, died Sunday, January 11, 1987 at Miramichi Hospital, Newcastle. Born in Strathadam, 73 years ago, she was a daughter of the late James and Hanna [HARRIS] BRANDER. She was a member of St. Marys Roman Catholic Church, Newcastle and a member of the CWL.<br /> She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Jack CUMMING [Shirley], of Toronto, Mrs. Guy ROBERTSON [Carolyn], of Montreal, and Mrs. Brad WIGGINS [Elizabeth], of Ottawa; two sons: Eugene, of Ottawa, and John, of Toronto; two sisters: Mrs. James WHITNEY [Evelyn], of Whitneyville, and Mrs. Moses TRAVIS [Bonita], of Sillikers; three brothers: Robert, of Strathadam, Elwood, of Burlington, Ont., and Preston, of St. Catherines, Ont.; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. <br /> Two sons, a sister and two brothers died previously. <br /> The body rested at Bells Funeral Service, Newcastle. Funeral mass was celebrated Wednesday morning, January 14, at St. Marys Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Henry McGrath officiating.<br /> The pallbearers were: John BRANDER, Jimmy TREVORS, Robert WHITNEY, Joe McLEAN, Val KEATING and David McKAY.<br /> Burial will be in the church cemetery in the spring.<br /> Source: Northumberland News - January 21, 1987
