Mrs. Winifred Mary [May] McKINLEY, widow of Harry McKINLEY, 90, of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, formerly of Upper Nelson, passed away at her residence, Thursday, Sept. 14, 1995. Born in Upper Nelson, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret [HILL] SMITH. She was a homemaker, and attended St. Andrews United Church, McKinleyville. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.<br /> She is survived by five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.<br /> She is predeceased by a son, Roy.<br /> The remains rested at Bells Funeral Home, Newcastle. Funeral service was held at St. Andrews United Church, McKinleyville, Sunday, Sept. 17 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ron Frampton officiating. Hymns were: Wonderful Words of Life, My Hope Is Built and What A Friend We Have in Jesus. Organist was Roma Gallon, and soloist was Marlene MacKINLEY who sang: Amazing Grace.<br /> Active pallbearers were: Don MADIGAN, Ross MacKINNON, Kevin DOYLE, Frank MacKINLEY, Doug GALLANT and Reggie MacKINLEY.<br /> Interment was in St. Andrews United Church Cemetery, McKinleyville. Arrangements were under the care of Bells Funeral Service Ltd., Newcastle.<br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - September 19, 1995
