Mrs. George McKAY, a patient in the Miramichi Hosptial for two days, died there Tuesday morning about 7:30 oclock. Mrs. McKAY had been confined to bed for only a few days but had been in failing health for several months. Born in Newcastle 72 years ago, the late Mrs. McKAY was formerly Addie BOCKLER and had lived here all her life.
Surviving are her husband; one daughter, [Frances] Mrs. Samuel LEACH, Sunny Corner; and one son, William J. McKAY of Newcastle; two grandsons, Robert and John McKAY; and a sister, Mrs. Edmund HARVEY, Moncton, who arrived here Wednesday.
The funeral was held Thursday afternoon with Rev. Mr. Brett, Presbyterian church minister at Tabusintac, conducting the services at 2:30 oclock at the home. At three oclock the funeral left for the Miramichi cemetery, where burial was made.
Pallbearers were: Alexander SUTHERLAND, James MATHESON, Blackstock MATHESON, Charles RAE, Arthur COPP and James E. OBRIEN.
