The death of Daniel G. McINTYRE, 68, of 28 Lakeside Dr., Kerrs Trailer Park, Chatham, and formerly of Eel River Bridge, occurred Sunday, March 21, 1993, at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Chatham, following a lengthy illness. Born in Eel River Bridge, he was a son of the late George and Bertha [MEUSE] McINTYRE. He has been a commercial fisherman. A veteran of the Second World War and the Korean Conflict, he had served 16 years in the Canadian Armed Forces before retirement and had also been a member of the North Shore and Black Watch regiments.<br /> Besides his wife, Rita, he is survived by eight sons: George, of Hardwicke, Roger and Brian, both of Toronto, Daniel Jr., Steven, Donald and Marvin, all of Baie Ste. Anne, and Robert, at home; four daughters: Mrs. Paul-Emile MAZEROLLE [Geneva], Mrs. Maynard CHIASSON [Linda], Mrs. Brian CHIASSON [Carmella] and Lorina DOUCET, all of Baie Ste. Anne; one sister, Mrs. Lorraine OBRIEN, of Moncton; three half-sisters, Mrs. Eloi ROBICHAUD [Jeannette], Mrs. Aube ROBICHAUD [Marguerite], both of Pointe Sapin, and Mrs. Roberta McINTYRE, of Baie Ste. Anne; 26 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.<br /> The body rested at Baie St. Anne Roman Catholic Church from where funeral mass was celebrated Tuesday at 4 p.m., conducted by Rev. Yvon Arseneault.<br /> Active pallbearers were: Keith and Serge McINTYRE, Dwayne and Jason CHIASSON, Terry DOUCET and Kevin MAZEROLLE. Honorary pallbearers were: Paul-Emile MAZEROLLE, Maynard and Brian CHIASSON, Lawrence and Mathias DUPLESSIS and Arthur SIPPLEY.<br /> Burial will be in the parish cemetery later in the spring. Arrangements were in the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham.<br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - March 31, 1993
