Bernard J. McINTYRE, of Baie Ste. Anne, died Tuesday, February 1, 1983 at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Chatham following a lengthy illness. Born in Baie Ste. Anne 64 years ago, he was a son of the late John and Susan [DURELLE] McINTYRE. He was a fisherman.<br /> He is survived by seven sons: Bernard Jr., Gerald, Marc, Antoine and Jean Luc, all of Baie Ste. Anne, Eric, of Hardwicke, and Bert, of Saint John; five daughters: Mrs. Eva TOZER, of Moncton, Mrs. Claude CORMIER [Eileen], of Shediac, Mrs. Aquila MANUEL [Juanita] and Mrs. Emeril MANUEL [Charlene], both of Baie Ste. Anne, and Mrs. Herbert BLAKELY [Ethel], of Chatham; three brothers: John, Placide and Elmer, all of Baie Ste. Anne; two sisters: Mrs. Christine MARTIN, of Baie Ste. Anne, and Mrs. Fred BARRY [Venerance], of Escuminac; and 25 grandchildren.<br /> The body rested at the slumber room of Baie Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church where funeral mass was celebrated Thursday afternoon, February 3 by Rev. D. Gauthier.<br /> Honorary pallbearers were: Claude CORMIER, Herbert BLAKELY, Aquila MANUEL, Emeril MANUEL, Mel TERRIS and Jean Luc McINTYRE. Active pallbearers were: Bernard Jr., Gerald, Eric, Marc, Tony and Burton McINTYRE.<br /> Entombment was in the church vault to await burial in the spring. Arrangements were in the care of Maher?s Funeral Home, Chatham.<br /> Source: Northumberland News - February 09, 1983
