Bernard J. McINTYRE, of Baie Ste. Anne, died Tuesday, February 1, 1983 at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Chatham following a lengthy illness. Born in Baie Ste. Anne 64 years ago, he was a son of the late John and Susan [DURELLE] McINTYRE. He was a fisherman.
He is survived by seven sons: Bernard Jr., Gerald, Marc, Antoine and Jean Luc, all of Baie Ste. Anne, Eric, of Hardwicke, and Bert, of Saint John; five daughters: Mrs. Eva TOZER, of Moncton, Mrs. Claude CORMIER [Eileen], of Shediac, Mrs. Aquila MANUEL [Juanita] and Mrs. Emeril MANUEL [Charlene], both of Baie Ste. Anne, and Mrs. Herbert BLAKELY [Ethel], of Chatham; three brothers: John, Placide and Elmer, all of Baie Ste. Anne; two sisters: Mrs. Christine MARTIN, of Baie Ste. Anne, and Mrs. Fred BARRY [Venerance], of Escuminac; and 25 grandchildren.
The body rested at the slumber room of Baie Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church where funeral mass was celebrated Thursday afternoon, February 3 by Rev. D. Gauthier.
Honorary pallbearers were: Claude CORMIER, Herbert BLAKELY, Aquila MANUEL, Emeril MANUEL, Mel TERRIS and Jean Luc McINTYRE. Active pallbearers were: Bernard Jr., Gerald, Eric, Marc, Tony and Burton McINTYRE.
Entombment was in the church vault to await burial in the spring. Arrangements were in the care of Maher?s Funeral Home, Chatham.
