Mrs. Marceline ALLAIN, wife of Alyre ALLAIN, of 304 Sweeney Lane, Newcastle, died Thursday, May 2, 1985 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, Chatham. Born in Fair Isle 74 years ago, she was a daughter of the late Sylvain and Margaret (LaTULIPPE) PLOURDE. She was a member of St, Marys Roman Catholic Church, Newcastle.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edward McLEAN (Marie), of Newcastle, and Mrs. Bill DOERKSEN (Jacqueline), of Mississauga, ON; two sons, Alcide, of Newcastle, and Raymond, of Cold Water, ON; three sisters: Mrs. Francais JARDINE, Mrs. Mike KING (Elizabeth), both of Toronto, ON, and Mrs. Percy GIFFORD (Laura), of Newcastle; two brothers, Stanley PLOURDE, of Neguac, and Jeffery PLOURDE, of Toronto, ON; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The body rested at the slumber room of Bells Funeral Service, Newcastle. Funeral mass was concelebrated Saturday afternoon, May 4 at St. Marys Roman Catholic Church by Father H. McGrath, Father D. Savoy, Father J. Smith and Father B. Broderick.
Pallbearers were: Anthony and Jeffery PLOURDE, Louis, Robert and Albert ALLAIN and Leonard CHEVARIE.
Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were in the care of Bells Funeral Service, Newcastle.
