Stella MARTIN, 86, widow of Clement MARTIN [Thomas], of Baie Ste Anne, passed away on August 11, 2010 at 3:40 am, at the Moncton City Hospital. Born in Baie Ste Anne on May 29, 1924, Stella was the last remaining child born to the late Vesus and Marie-Margeurite [DURELLE] PELLERIN. She was a homemaker who was very devoted to her family and friends, loved music and she loved to play her organ. She was a great believer in prayers, a very courageous person during her long illness. <br /> Stella will be greatly missed by her eight children: Rose-Mary KELSON [Jack], of St. George, NB, Clemence FAHNESTOCK [Mike SWARTZ], of Pennsylvania, Adele THERIAULT, of Baie Ste Anne, Rose-Marie GAUDET [Donald], of Pointe Sapin, Clement MARTIN [Emile], of Baie Ste Anne, Joanne YOUNG [Bob], of Missouri, Ella MARTIN, of Moncton, Diane LeBLANC [Normand], of Moncton; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; as well as one brother, Ronald [Toddy] PELLERIN, of Bay Du Vin, and many nieces and nephews. <br /> Stella was predeceased by her brother, Aurele PELLERIN of Baie Ste Anne; and sisters: Delia SMYTH, of Montreal, Alozia CHIASSON, of Baie Ste Anne, Argentine DEVINE, of Nova Scotia, Doris HAWKINS, of Ste-Agathe des Monts. <br /> Stella rested at the Baie Ste Anne Slumber Room on August 11 to 14 and Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on August 14 at 11 am from St. Anne Roman Catholic Church with Fr. J.B. Mallais, celebrant and con-celebrant, Fr. Robert Savoie. Hymns and songs by Mirelle Manuel and the Baie Ste Anne Church Choir. Readings by Norma SIPPLEY and Robea Dewitt. Poem read by Melanie LeBLANC GAUDE; cross carrier, Julien LeBLANC. Marie-Alma MARTIN and Huberte MAZEROLLE assisted for Communion. Mass servers were Catherine DURELL and Parise THEBEAULT. <br /> Active pallbearers were: Mathieu LeBLANC, Daniel THERIAULT, Denis GAUDET, Justin THERIAULT, Valeri PELLERIN and Jean-Marie MARTIN. Honorary pallbearers were: Mike PELLERIN, Ronald PELLERIN, Normand LeBLANC, Jack KELSON, Donald GAUDET and Bob YOUNG. <br /> Interment will be in St. Anne Cemetery with her husband, Clement [Thomas] MARTIN.
