The death of Samuel MARTIN, 80, of Baie Ste. Anne, occurred on Friday, May 31, 1974 at Hotel Dieu in Chatham following a lengthy illness. Born in Baie Ste. Anne, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Manuel MARTIN. <br /> He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Vernon SPURR [Germaine], of Dartmouth, N.S., Mrs. John CHAPLEAU [Mary Ann], of Montreal, and Miss Mary MARTIN, of Baie Ste. Anne; one son, Hubert MARTIN, of Baie Ste. Anne; one adopted son, Oliver DUPLESSIS, of Baie Ste. Anne; and three sisters, Mrs. Edward MUISE, of Baie Ste. Anne, Miss Honora MARTIN, of St. Stephen, and Mrs. Evins EVINS, of Fredericton.<br /> The body rested at the Baie Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church with funeral mass celebrated on Sundayafternoon, June 2, with Rev. LeBlanc conducting. <br /> Active pallbearers were: Nazare MUZEROLLE, Francis ROBICHAUD, Ronald DESPRES, Narie MARTIN, Guy SAVOIE and Elphase SIPPLEY. Honorary pallbearers were: David SAVOIE, Jack DOUCET, Alvin SAVOIE, Addie THERIAULT, Duffy SAVOIE and Francis DOUCET.<br /> Interment was in Baie Ste.
