Mrs. Rita MARTIN, 55, of 10 rue Greg Rd. Baie Ste-Anne, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2006, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Baie Ste-Anne, she was the daughter of the late Maxime and Elise MARTIN.<br /> Rita is survived by her husband, Gregoire MARTIN; two daughters: Elise MARTIN [Michael], and Lynn MARTIN [Greg], of Baie Ste-Anne; granddaughter, Janisa GALLANT; sisters: Carmeline ROBICHAUD [Uldege], of Pointe Sapin, Henriette ROBICHAUD [Jacques], of Lavillette, Cecilia MARTIN [Yvon], of Baie Ste-Anne, Marie-Therese MARTIN, of Lavillette, Della ROBICHAUD [Maurice], of Pointe Sapin, Geraldine ROBICHAUD [Leonard], of Lavillette; brothers: Ade [Aline], of Lavillette, Yvon, Moise [Veronique], Luc [Geatanne], William [Alice], Gilles [Roseline], of Baie Ste-Anne, Michael [Eva], of Miramichi; sisters-in-law, Angela ROBICHAUD [Francis], of Pointe Sapin, Rachel GILBERT [Richard], Gisèle SCHOFIELD [Michael], of Baie Ste-Anne; brothers-in-law: Euclide, Arthur [Karen], and Bertin MARTIN, of Baie Ste-Anne; half-sisters, Ida DURELLE, of Baie Ste-Anne, and Marceline, of Toronto; and many nieces and nephews.<br /> Rita is predeceased by her brothers: Maxime [Margaret], Victor [Zella]; sister, Jeanne THIBODEAU [Harvey]; daughter-in-law of the late Armand W. MARTIN and Celine MARTIN. <br /> Visitation at the Baie Ste-Anne slumberoom in Baie Ste-Anne, on Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, January 16, at 4 p.m. at Ste-Anne Roman Catholic Church in Baie Ste-Anne, with Fr. Fidele LeBlanc officiating.<br /> Active pallbearers were: Gregoire MARTIN, Kevin ROBICHAUD, Dean MARTIN, Rory MARTIN, Jeffery MARTIN, and Bertin MARTIN. Honorary pallbearers were: Adeline MARTIN, Alida McINTYRE, Diane MARTIN, Elzèa MARTIN, Ernestine MANUEL, and Lucinne DOUCET. <br /> The Baie Ste-Anne Fire Dept. formed a guard of honor.
