Mrs. Phoebe MARTIN, 93, of Baie Ste. Anne, passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 1996 at Mount St. Joseph Home. Born in Baie Ste. Anne, she was the daughter of the late William and Susanne [DOUCET] RUSSELL. She was a homemaker, and attended the Roman Catholic Church in Baie Ste. Anne.<br /> She is survived by two sons, Fred and Norman, of Baie Ste. Anne; three daughters, Mrs. Joseph DAIGLE [Irene], Mrs. Larry MARTIN [Ludivine] and Mrs. Arsene ROBICHAUD [Joanne], all of Baie Ste. Anne; one sister, Mrs. Maggie RICHARDSON, of Nelson-Miramichi; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.<br /> The remains rested in the church slumber room. Mass of Christian burial was held in the Roman Catholic Church in Baie Ste. Anne, Aug. 27, at 4 p.m. with Rev. Robert Savoy officiating.<br /> Active pallbearers were: Alonzo MARTIN, Vincent MARTIN, Marven MARTIN, Raymond RUSSELL, Nicholas MANUEL, and Adam RICHARD. Honorary pallbearers were: Scott MARTIN, Samuel GRAY, Justine MARTIN, Crystal MARTIN, Aderice DAIGLE, Tanya MARTIN, and Lucas GRAY.<br /> Interment was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were under the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Chatham.<br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - September 3, 1996
