Maxime MARTIN, 51, husband of Margaret [SMITH] MARTIN, of Rexton, passed away at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne, Friday, March 1, 1996 following a sudden illness. Born in Baie Ste. Anne, he was the son of Maxime and Elise [MARTIN] MARTIN. He was a fisherman, and attended the Sainte-Anne-de-Baie-Ste-Anne Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Nancy and Tanya, both at home; one son, Mike, of Baie-Ste-Anne; nine sisters: Mrs. Jeanne THIBODEAU [Harvey], of Rexton, Mrs. Carmeline ROBICHAUD [Uldege], of Pointe Sapin, Mrs. Della ROBICHAUD [Maurice], of Pointe Sapin, Mrs. Marceline STEVENSON, of Toronto, Ont., Mrs. Geraldine ROBICHAUD [Leonard], of Lagaceville, Mrs. Henriette ROBICHAUD [Jacques], Lagaceville, Mrs. Rita MARTIN [Gregoire], of Baie-Ste-Anne, Miss Marie-Therese MARTIN, of Baie-Ste-Anne, and Cecilia MARTIN, of Baie-Ste-Anne; seven brothers: Ade, of Lavillette, Yvon, Moise, Luc, Willie and Gilles, all of Baie-Ste-Anne, and Mike, of Rexton; one grandchild, Austin, and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by one sister, Ida DURELLE; and one brother, Victor.
The remains rested at the Sainte-Anne-de-Baie-Ste-Anne Roman Catholic Church slumber room. Funeral Mass was held at the Sainte-Anne-de-Baie-Ste-Anne Roman Catholic Church March 4 at 4 p.m. with Father Robert Savoie officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery to await burial in the spring. Arrangements were in the care of Thompsons Funeral Home Ltd., Richibucto.
