Mr. Fred MARTIN, 79, formerly of Baie Ste Anne, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 9, 2005 at the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home. Born in Baie Ste Anne, he was the son of the late Henry and Phoebe [RUSSELL] MARTIN. <br /> Fred is survived by a step-daughter, Rina BENNETT [Elderic], of Chatham; brother, Norman MARTIN [Maltide], of Baie Ste Anne; sisters: Irene DAIGLE, of Escuminac, Ludevine MARTIN [Larry], of Baie Ste Anne, Joanne ROBICHAUD [Arsene], of Baie Ste Anne; nephews: Gaston, Alonzo, and Adam; and nieces: Pierritte, Auria, Angele and Suzanne. <br /> Fred is predeceased by his wife, Mary [SIPPLEY] MARTIN; brother, Philippe; and nephew, Ola MARTIN. <br /> Visitation from the Baie Ste-Anne Slumber room, on Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, September 12, at 4 p.m. from the Baie Ste-Anne Roman Catholic Church, in Baie Ste-Anne, with Fr. Fidele LeBlanc, celebrant. <br /> Active pallbearers were: Gaston MARTIN, Aubert MANUEL, Antonio McINTYRE, Luc MARTIN, Adam ROBICHAUD, Nicholas MANUEL and William HITCHMAN. <br /> Interment was in Ste. Anne Cemetery, in Baie Ste-Anne. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Assosiation would be appreciated. Arrangments were in the care of Mahers Funeral Home, Miramichi, NB.
