The death of Miss Evelyn MARTIN, of 620 King George Highway, Miramichi, occurred Friday, June 20, 2003, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 88. Born in Eel River Bridge, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Suzanne [COLLETTE] MARTIN. Evelyn attended St. Marys Roman Catholic Church and was retired from the Housekeeping Department of Miramichi Hospital.<br /> She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, and was predeceased by 4 brothers and sisters.<br /> The family received visitors at Bells Funeral Home, on Monday from 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated from St. Marys Roman Catholic Church, on Tuesday, at 11 a.m., with Father David Martin officiating. <br /> Active pallbearers were: Ken, David, Steve, and Sterling LANGE, Lyman and Arthur HARTERY. <br /> Burial followed in the church cemetery. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of the donors choice. Funeral arrangements were under the care of Bells Funeral home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi.<br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - June 27, 2003
