Mrs. Hazel L. AARONIAN, 86, of 9 Bridge St., Kittery, Maine, passed away Thursday, June 13, 1996 at the Edgewood Centre in Portsmouth, N.H. Born in Newcastle, New Brunswick on Aug. 6, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Annie (NORTON) RUSSELL. She was a graduate of Harkins High School, Newcastle, Class of 1928, and the Lawrence, Mass., General Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1931. Before retiring, she worked as a registered nurse for Lawrence General Hospital and the Town Manor in Lawrence. After emigrating from Canada, she lived most of her life in North Andover, Mass., until moving to Kittery in 1979. She was a member of the Second Christian Congregational Church in Kittery.<br /> <br /> Survivors include a son, Russell AARONIAN, and his wife Mim, of Kittery; a brother, Douglas RUSSELL, of Newcastle, N.B.; two sisters, Thelma BILADEAU, of Laconia, NH, and Mary PENNELL, of Gorham, Maine; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.<br /> <br /> She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence AARONIAN; a brother, Osborne RUSSELL; and a sister, Marjorie COPP.<br /> <br /> A memorial service was held Sunday, June 16, at the second Christian Congregational Church in Kittery, Maine. Following cremation, interment took place in Miramichi Cemetery at a later date.<br /> <br /> Source: Miramichi Leader - July 9, 1996
