c 1862-1839<br /> HOVEY, AARON: born Topsfield, MA and baptised on 14 March 1762, the only son on Stephen and Abigail (Hood) Hovey. He arrived on the St. John River aboard the schooner “Eunice” on 26 April 1767.<br /> <br /> He married Dorothy Price around 1782 and was listed in the Studholm Report of 1783 as “claiming a lot in consequence of a lease to his father-in-law Edmund Price from Wm. Spry Esq., dated 12 July 1770 for 200 acres of land.”<br /> <br /> Aaron filed land petitions in NB around 1785 and in 1811 settled in Ludlow Parish. He was a weaver by trade and hotelkeeper. In “Over the Portage” by William R. MacKinnon, Jr., Aaron Hovey is listed as one of the original 59 settlers to Ludlow.<br /> <br />

Woodcock in 1822.<br /> <br /> Allen, born c 1805, died young.<br /> <br /> Aseneth, born 19 November 1808, died 25 February 1889 in Columbia, CA. Married Japheth Foster in 1823.<br /> <br /> Abigail married Richard Price.<br /> <br /> Dorothy married Nathaniel Letchmere Price.<br /> <br /> ** There may have been 2 daughters who died young.<br /> <br /> Date of Arrival: From Massachusetts in 1767, finally settling in Ludlow Parish in 1811.
