ALLISON, JOHN: was born circa 1780 in County Londonderry, Ireland. Died aft 1839 in Boom Road, NB. He was Presbyterian by faith. He was a farmer and lumberman. He married Eleanor u/k. She was born 1772. Died aft 1861. John purchased Lot F & G at Boom Road, where he resided and raised a farmer.

Samuel born c 1798 in Ireland died after 1861. On 18 October 1826 he married Jane Hare in a double ceremony with Jane Allison and Alexander Hare Samuel with Rev. Samuel Bacon, Anglican minister. They had six children.
Jane born c 1802, Ireland died after 1861. He married Alexander Hare. Jane had five children, two who were born after Alex’s death.
Eleanor Ann born circa 1809 in Ireland. She was baptised Presbyterian. She married 1st. John Hillock on July 13, 1825. 2nd James McDonald on October 10, 1834.
John, Jr. born circa 1810 in Ireland, died 19 January 1894. He married Jane Stewart on September 1, 1836 by Rev. James Souter, Presbyterian minister. They resided on the Allison Land Lot F at Boom Road where they raised a family of eight children. They are buried at St. Stephen’s (Old) Cemetery, Red Bank.
David, born c 1811, died after 1880. He married Elizabeth Stewart, 6 July 1843 by Rev. Robert Archibald, Anglican minister. They had seven children and resided in Aroostock Co., Maine. Elizabeth was the daughter of Donald Stuart/Stewart and Margaret Montgomery.
Margaret A. born 15 November 1817 died 27 March 1903; married William White. On 28 March 1838 she married Samuel Sherrard born c 1819, died 10 February 1854. They resided at Boom Road and had four children. A falling tree killed Samuel at the age of 43. Margaret, a young widow worked as a midwife to support her family.
