1806-<br /> DINAN (DYNAN), DAVID: born about 1806 in Ireland. He married Bridget Donnelly on 10 August 1835 in No Co, NB. She was born about 1809 in Ireland. David and his family were the only “Dinan” family in Northumberland County in the 1851 and 1861 census. David was listed as a shoemaker; the family was Roman Catholic.

James born about 1831 in NB, Can and died 10 December 1879, age 48. He married Prudence Ann Kirkpatrick on 8 December 1859 in No Co. She was born about 1829 in Ireland and died 6 April 1905, age 76. In 1881 Prudence is a widow living in Newcastle with six children. There is a note stating that there are two more children who belong to this family living with Ellen Miller, 7 households away. James and Prudence are buried in St. Mary’s RC Cemetery, Newcastle.<br /> <br /> Joanna, born about 1838 in NB, Can. She married Thomas McDonnell on 2 July 1872 in Northumberland County.<br /> <br /> David, Jr., born about 1842 in NB, Can. He married Mary Regan on 9 January 1865 in No Co. David apparently died between 1868 and 1869 as Mary remarried Hugh McCafferty on 9 November 1869. Mary was enumerated with Hugh McCafferty in 1871 as his wife, with her two Dinan children, plus her 11-month-old McCafferty child.<br /> <br /> Bridget, born about 1844, NB, Can. She was living with her parents in 1861.<br /> <br /> William, born about 1846. He was living with his parents in 1861.<br /> <br /> Date of Arrival: May 1832 from Ireland
