Discription of the issues related to this individual
(1) Robert Born c1824 in Pictou, N.S.; died October 4, 1915, aged 92,in Lincoln, Maine. On December 4, 1849 he married Jane Corbett, born c1825. Jane died the day prior to Robert, on October 3, 1915 in Lincoln, Maine. They were Presbyterian and Robert was a farmer.
(2) Janet Magdelina Born c1829. She married Thomas Butler* who died, aged 30, in Black Brook, October 9, 1860.
(3) James Born c1830 in Blackville, Northumberland County; died ? He married Barbara MacKenzie on May 22, 1864. They raised at least eight children in Blackville. The family was Presbyterian.
(4) Joseph Albert Born c1831 in Blackville; died November 3, 1891. On March 29, 1855 he married Margaret Vye, born April 24, 1834 to William Vye and Margaret Wilson of Nelson Parish. Joseph was a farmer. They raised eight children in Blackville. Margaret died January 12, 1922. The family was Presbyterian.
(5) Ann Born c1834 in Blackville; died after 1891. On March 29, 1855 she married William Bateman, born c1826 and died between 1871 and 1881. In 1881 Ann was an innkeeper in Blackville and in 1891 she was living in Chatham and was gone from the census in 1901.
(6) John McEwen Born 1836 (bp. April 3) in Blackville; died in 1884 in Blackville. On January 20, 1868 he married Sarah Porter, born c1843 to Thomas Porter and Margaret Dean of Blackville. They raised eight children while John farmed. Sarah died May 20, 1901 and was buried with John in St. Andrew’s United Church Cemetery, Blackville.
(7) Catherine Born c1839 in Blackville; died October 27, 1902. On March 6, 1862 she married William Day, born c1831 in Nelson. They had six children. By 1881 Catherine was a widow and was living in Newcastle with all her children. William was Church of England and Catherine was Presbyterian.
*Thomas Butler married Janet Sturgeon on May 17, 1855.
