Thomas King Murray was born in Scotland 1805 and died July 18, 1873. Thomas married Margaret Miller in Scotland, where she was born in 1803 to David Miller
and Margaret Haddon. She died in Douglastown on April 17, 1865.

Area of Residence: Alnwick Parish. Thomas received a land grant of 100 Acres on
March 17, 1856.

Discription of the issues related to this individual
(1) James Born 1823 in Scotland. He was a general labourer in 1861, but was not found in the census after that year.
(2) Elenor Miller Born February 17, 1824 in Black River*; died November 17, 1912 in Bay du Vin. She married Donald McLeod on February 14, 1846. He was born in 1802 and died May 8, 1884. They had ten children. This family was Presbyterian.
(3) George Born March 8, 1827. He was a general labourer in 1861, but was not found in the census after that year.
(4) David Born 1828; died before 1881. He married Margaret Cameron on January 8, 1862. She was born in 1834 to Lauchlin “Allen” Cameron and Elizabeth Alton and died on February 11, 1926 at the age of 92. They raised seven children in Wells Brook. This family was Presbyterian. Both were buried in St. Stephen’s Community Cemetery.
(5) Grace Born c1831. She married James Bell on July 28, 1858. Born c1833, James was the son of John Bell and Mary Archibald. James and Grace were living in Newcastle in 1861, but were found in Milltown, Charlotte County in 1881. They had four children. This family was Congregationalist.
(6) John Born c1834. John was living with his parents in 1861, but not afterward.
(7) Alexander Born c1837. Alexander was living with his parents in 1851, but not afterward.
(8) Kenneth Born c1839. Kenneth, a general labourer, was living with his parents in 1861, but not afterward.
(9) Elizabeth Born c1844. Elizabeth was living with her parents in 1861, but not afterward.
*Since the family arrived in N.B. in August 1824, Elenor Miller’s birthplace was probably Scotland and she might have been baptized after arriving here. This needs to be clarified.
