1794-1855<br /> COPP, JAMES: baptised 23 March 1794 in the Anglican Church at Roborough by Torrington, near Bidford, England, and died 6 June 1855 likely in the Newcastle, NB area. He married Mary Unknown in England. She likely died in Newcastle. James taught school at Copp’s Settlement (Trout Brook) in 1834 and 1835, then the family moved to Newcastle.

James R, born 14 February 1826 in England, died after 1901. He married Elizabeth Sheasgreen on 27 October 1857 in Northumberland County. She was born 20 September 1832 in South Esk and died 15 November 1913.<br /> <br /> The family was living in Newcastle in 1881, where James was a Freight Agent for I.C. Railway, and also in 1901 living next door to their married son William and his family. They had at least three children. Date of Arrival: about 1834 from England.
