Brief summary
William Kelly was born c1791 in Coot Hill, County Wexford, Ireland. He was Catholic and a farmer. On June 1, 1841 he married Mary Royal. Mary was born c1816, aged 35 in 1851 Census. In 1861, Chatham Parish, Mary was the head of the family with six of the children still living at home. In 1881 Mary was a widow living with her two sons, John and Bernard. At the age of 73, she died in Lower Napan on April 5/7, 1892. Her birth place was given as Dublin, Ireland.
Date of Arrival: from Ireland to Miramichi in 1827.

Discription of the issues related to this individual
(1) James William Born April 8, 1844; died November 3, 1904 in Loggieville. On August 16, 1869 he married Mary Jane Murdock, daughter of John Murdock and Ellen Savoy. She was born c1850 and died between 1886 and 1888 after having at least nine children. They were Roman Catholic.
(2) Catherine Born c1846. She married John Bohan, but no record has been found. She disappeared after 1871.
(3) Bridget Born February 22, 1848. She disappeared after the 1871 census.
(4) William James Born February 22, 1848; died October 9, 1934. On November 25, 1879 he married Ellen Murdock, daughter of James Murdock and Elizabeth Taylor. Born November 15, 1855/6 and died January 12, 1945. They were buried in St. Andrew’s R.C. Cemetery, Loggieville with three of their children.
(5) Bernard Born c1849; died October 15, 1926 in Napan; buried in St. Andrew’s R.C. Cemetery, Loggieville. On March 8, 1884 in Pokemouche, Gloucester County, he married Mary Campbell, born October 17, 1864 to Stephen Campbell and Alice McConnell. He was a millman in 1871 and afterwards, a farmer. Bernard and Mary had at least three children together, but in 1901 Bernard and Mary were living separately, and Mary had another infant. Mary had another child in 1910. On February 4, 1951 she died in Newcastle and was buried with John (born 1898) who also died the same year.
(6) Annie Born August 22, 1855; died August 20, 1928 in Napan. On 1876 she married George Loggie, born October 22, 1848 to Robert Loggie and Janet McAllister of Napan. George and Annie farmed and raised ten children. When George died October 14, 1930, he was buried with Anne and two of their sons in St. Andrew’s R.C. Cemetery, Loggieville, next to William and Ellen.
(7) John Born October 25, 1860; died June 14, 1940. On October 25, 1887 he married Ellen Fitzgerald, daughter of Edward Fitzgerald and Marcella Lynch. She was born October 18, 1861 and died July 9, 1940 in Napan. John and Ellen had at least six children.
