1790-bef 1871<br /> CLEARWATER (CLOWATER), JOHN: born 5 November 1790 in York County, believed to be the son of the Loyalist Frederick Clearwater of New York. Census records state he was a farmer and a wheelwright. He died between 1861 and 1871. He married Nancy Young on 19 February 1812 at St. Mary’s. She was born 12 November 1795 and died after 1881 at Ludlow.

They had at least 5 children and resided in Burlington, ME.<br /> <br /> Ann McLean, born 1 December 1822, St. Mary’s, died 1848. She married George Harris on 23 November 1840. They had 5 children.<br /> <br /> Phoebe Catherine, born 24 April 1825, St. Mary’s died after 1860. She married Moses Hovey c 1845 and had 12 children.<br /> <br /> James William, born 23 April 1827, St. Mary’s, died c 1884. He married Elizabeth McKeil on 14 July 1851 and had 9 children with her. He remarried Rosanna Dudley on 2 October 1882.<br /> <br /> Christiana, born 26 September 1928, St. Mary’s, died 27 August 1918. She married Johnathan Hovey on 27 July 1850. They had 10 children.<br /> <br /> John Young, born 15 November 1832, died 1908, Ludlow. He married Louisa Scott on 10 July 1856. She was born 1836, died 1918. They are buried in Ludlow United Baptist Cemetery. They had 7 children.<br /> <br /> Alexander A., born 1826, died 22 March 1924, Ludlow. He married Jane Amos Price on 7 July 1958. She was born 1836, died 1900. Alexander and Jane are buried in Boiestown United Cemetery. They had 11 children.<br /> <br /> Robert Ludlow, born 18 May 1938, died 31 December 1914, Boiestown. He married Catherine McCarthy. She died 5 April 1911, age 67. They are buried in St. Joachim’s RC Cemetery, Boiestown. They had 6 children.<br /> <br /> Sarah Jane, born 1842, died 1919. She married Samford Dudley. He died 10 May 1877, age 39. Sarah and Samford are buried in Ludlow United Baptist Cemetery.
