She was the daughter of James & Elizabeth Carswell. Christina died on November 15, 1964 and Robert, on March 2, 1978. They were buried in St. Stephen’s Community Cemetery, Black River, N.B.

(1) Elizabeth “Betty” Born May 20, 1913 in Wigtownshire, Scotland; died December 9, 2005 in Chatham. On June 22, 1934 she married Hubert Gulliver (b. July 1906), son of William Gulliver and Margaret Kingston of Bay du Vin, at the United Church Manse, Black River Bridge. Hubert died in 1985. Elizabeth and Hubert were buried in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, Bay du Vin.
(2) Robert Born in Wigtownshire, Scotland on February 22, 1914; died in 1975. He was buried in St. Stephen’s Community Cemetery, Black River. Robert was unmarried.
(3) John “Jack” Born in the Parish of Leswalt, Wigtownshire, Scotland May 17, 1916. He died December 6, 1938 in Hexham and was buried in St. Stephen’s Community Cemetery in Black River. He was unmarried.
(4) James C. Born on September 4, 1918 in the Parish of Stoneykirk, Wigtownshire, Scotland. He married Mary Catherine Kingston on April 29, 1950 at the Anglican Church Rectory, Bay du Vin. Mary was the daughter of Thomas Kingston and Eliza Burns Dutcher. James died on September 7, 1994 and was buried in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, Bay du Vin. Mary died in April 1978/1979 and was buried with her husband.
(5) Charles Born in Wigtownshire, Scotland in 1920. He married Mary Alice Lewis on September 8, 1947 at the United Church Manse, Black River Bridge. He died on July 22 1993, aged 72. The daughter of Leslie Lewis and Mildred McLean of Black River Bridge, Mary was born on January 3, 1931and died on December 6, 1988. Both were buried in St. Stephen’s Community Cemetery, Black River.
(6) Thomas Carswell Born in the Parish of Leswalt, Wigtownshire, Scotland on October 1, 1921. He married Jean Duffy (widow) (b. c1931) on August 25, 1956 in Moncton. She was the daughter of Archibald Neil MacKinnon and Elizabeth Louise Smith. Thomas died in Moncton on August 11, 2005 after a lengthy military career.
(7) William Born in the Parish of Leswalt, Wigtownshire, Scotland in 1922. He was killed in action in Italy on September 1, 1944. A cemetery stone was erected on the family plot in St. Stephen’s Community Cemetery, Black River. He was unmarried.
(8) Helen Donald Born in Wigtownshire, Scotland in 1925. She married Waldo Herbert Biggs (b. c1922), the son of James Everett Biggs and Grace E. Beers of McKee’s Mills, Kent County, N.B, on November 6, 1950. Grace died on June 23, 1999 in Moncton and was buried in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton, N.B.
