(1) William Born August 6, 1821 in Wick, Caithness, Scotland; died May 16, 1903 in Olrig, Caithness, Scotland. William married Catherine [Sutherland] of Olrig, Caithness, Scotland and left six children and their descendants.
(2) Catherine Born February 20, 1823 in Wick, Caithness, Scotland. On July 22, 1845 she married John S. Tozer in Northumberland County. John was born c1820, the son of Elson Tozer and Mehatabel Room. Catherine died in 1856 at Sillikers, N.B., and John died on October 7, 1892. They had seven children. The Tozer family were prominent Baptists. John survived to marry twice more.
(3) John, Jr. Born December 25, 1824 in Whitney. On July 25, 1857 he married Nancy Mitchell Mullin, born September 22, 1835 to Robert Mullin & Sally Shannon of Wayerton. John and Nancy had three children prior to John’s death on October 10, 1864. Nancy died on March 19, 1910 in Trout Brook. Both were buried in Wesley United (Methodist) Cemetery, Trout Brook.
(4) Marjorie Born March 26, 1827 in Whitney. On February 19, 1852 she married William Dawson Curtis, the son of William Curtis and Susannah Travis. William was born on May 14, 1828 and died on November 4, 1907 at Whitney. Marjorie died February 1, 1903 in Great Works, Penobscot, Maine, U.S.A. They had seven children.
(5) James Alexander Born July 10, 1829 in Whitney. On March 27, 1860 Whitney, he married Christina Sutherland, the daughter of Alexander and Jane Sutherland of Halcomb. Christina was born August 26, 1830. They had eight children. James died May 13, 1895 at Whitney and Christina, on April 22, 1901 at Whitney. Both were buried in St. Philip’s United Church Cemetery, Whitney.
(6) Ann Nicholson Born May 21, 1831 in Whitney. On July 26, 1855 in Whitney married William Hare, born September 22, 1830 at Boom Road, to Alexander Hare and Jane Allison. They had ten children. William died on December 3, 1908 in Whitney and Ann, on October 16, 1922. Both were buried in St. Philip’s United Church Cemetery, Whitney.
(7) Margaret Born July 14, 1833 in Whitney. On May 7, 1857 she married Peter Russell, born c1834 to John Russell and Margaret Hutchison of Strathadam. They resided in Whitney and had three children. Margaret died between 1863 and 1865, and Peter was living with his parents in 1871 and with his father in 1881. He later remarried and died on May 23, 1915. This family was Presbyterian.
(8) David Born September 10, 1835 in Whitney. On April 1, 1858 David married Mary Bell Sutherland, the daughter of Alexander and Jane Sutherland, Scottish immigrants who had arrived in 1821. Mary was born on October 28, 1828 in Halcomb and died on August 21, 1906 in Whitney. David died on March 16, 1894 in Whitney. They had eight children. David and Mary were buried in St. Philip’s United Church Cemetery, Whitney.
(9) Edward Williston Born August 14, 1838. On September 14, 1859 he married
Jane Forsyth, born August 8, 1838 to Robert Forsyth & Margaret McKinnon. They had seven children. Edward died in Whitney on July 8, 1887 and Jane, on June 11, 1918. Both were buried in Whitney (Old) Baptist Cemetery.
