John Dunn was born c1812 in Ireland and died in Nelson Parish on December 11, 1881. He was a farmer and a lumberman. On January 17, 1844 he married Bridget Anne Kane who was born c1821. They lived in Barnaby River. By 1871 Anne had gone blind. She died on April 10, 1875. They were buried in St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. <br /> <br /> Date of Arrival: 1830<br /> <br />

He married Anne________ in 1878 in Wisconsin.<br /> <br /> (2) Patrick Born December 20, 1846 in Barnaby River; died January 19, 1884 in a lumbering accident on Barnaby River.<br /> <br /> (3) Catherine Born June 18, 1849 in Barnaby River; died October 2, 1920.* On July 15, 1879 in Nelson she married James McCarthy, son of John McCarthy and Mary Carroll who were Irish immigrants of 1825. James was born c1840 and died November 15, 1887. He was buried in St. Michael’s R.C. Cemetery, Chatham. They had three children.<br /> <br /> (4) John Born January 3, 1852 in Barnaby River; died November 10, 1927. On October 7, 1884 he married Mary Monahan, born March 24, 1861 and died April 9, 1939. She was the daughter of Thomas Monahan and Honora Connell. They raised four children. In 1901 they were operating a boarding house in Chatham. John and Mary were buried in St. Michael’s R.C. Cemetery.<br /> <br /> (5) Margaret Anne Born June 8, 1857 in Barnaby River; died December 7, 1947. On November 14, 1882 she married John Maloney, who was born March 11, 1857 and died April 23, 1921. They ran a general store in Rogersville where they raised seven children. <br /> <br /> (6) William Francis Born December 9, 1860 in Barnaby River; died January 17, 1944. On April 24, 1888 he married Mary Ann Coyle.<br /> <br /> *Note: Catherine’s death certificate is incorrectly completed, and her parents’ names are not given.<br /> <br />
