(1) John Born April 10, 1838 at Halcomb; died June 21, 1903. On July 4, 1871 he married Elizabeth Foran (April 1, 1842-May 1, 1905) at St. Bridget’s R.C. Church, Renous. She was the daughter of James Foran and Catherine Flynn. They had four children. John was a farmer and Elizabeth was a weaver. In the 1881 census Elizabeth’s father was living with them in South Esk. <br /> <br /> (2) Daniel Born 1840 at Halcomb; died September 14, 1914 in Fall River, Massachusetts. He married Mary Ann Mullin on August 28, 1867 at St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. Born May 6, 1839 in Trout Brook, she was the daughter of Robert Mullin and Sarah Shannon. They raised six children in North Esk. <br /> <br /> (3) Catherine Born February 5, 1842 Halcomb; died April 2, 1916 at Halcomb. On October 24, 1871 she married James Foran (born c1840) and had seven children. He was a son of James Foran and Catherine Flynn (see above). James died September 30, 1915. Both were buried at St. Thomas R.C.<br /> Cemetery, Red Bank.<br /> <br /> (4) Judith (Julia) Born about November 1843 in Halcomb; died c1880. <br /> <br /> (5) Margaret Born c1846 at Halcomb; died after 1871.<br /> <br /> (6) Joseph Born c1848 at Halcomb; died after 1871. <br /> <br /> (7) Hannah Born c1851; died between 1871 and 1881.<br /> <br /> (8) Ellen Mary Born c1853 at Newcastle. On October 30, 1872 she married George Foran (October 10, 1846-November 14, 1932), brother of Elizabeth and James (above). They later moved to Lamoure, North Dakota where they raised eleven children.<br /> <br /> (9) Mary Ann Elizabeth Born February 17, 1857; died January 13, 1927 in Newcastle. On November 11, 1875 she married John Foran (born April 3, 1850), brother of the above Foran, and had a family of fourteen. They were Roman Catholic. John was a farmer. <br /> <br /> Note: Joseph and Margaret also raised a granddaughter Elizabeth who was married to a William Hamilton and later a William Leach.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
