(1) Eleanor “Ellen” Born May 24, 1833; baptized May 29, 1833 St. Patrick’s R.C., Nelson; died January 30, 1880 Nelson. On November 13, 1854 at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church she married John Kane/Kain, probably the son of Michael Kain and Bridget Casey who arrived in 1820 from County Limerick, Ireland. Eleanor and John had four children. In 1861 Matthew was living with John and Eleanor in Nelson and was listed as “sick/infirm”. <br /> <br /> (2) Richard Born November 16, 1834; baptized November 23, 1834 at St. Patrick’s, Nelson; died after 1851*.<br /> <br /> (3) Thomas Born about February 19, 1837; baptized March 5, 1837 1834 at St. Patrick’s, Nelson; died after 1851*. <br /> <br /> *In 1851 Matthew was living with Ann, Ellen and Richard on a farm in Nelson.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
