William Allison was born c1768 in Limavady, Co. Londonderry, Ireland. He died on September 13, 1853 in North Esk. This Allison family lived at Evish Hill near Enoch Loch, in the immediate vicinity of the City of Londonderry. William’s father sold his farm and with his whole family, except one son, immigrated to Stillwater (Meadow, on the northwest Miramichi River), New Brunswick in July 1824.

Discription of the issues related to this individual
(1) William Born August 1801 in Co. Londonderry, Ireland; died August 19, 1869 in North Esk, N.B. On July 30, 1831 William eloped with Susannah Kingston, daughter of Paul Kingston and Lydia Byrd of Wayerton. Susannah was born on March 15, 1813 in Bantry, Co. Cork, Ireland and died on February 24, 1891 at the age of 78. William and Susannah had ten children.
(2) David Born c1805 in Co. Londonderry, Ireland; died January 19, 1891 in Boom Road, N.B. On July 16, 1828 he married Margaret Hare, who was born in North Esk c1814 and died on July 15, 1890 in Red Bank, N.B. They had ten children and were buried in the old St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Red Bank.
(3) Mary Born c1809 in Co. Londonderry, Ireland; died December 17, 1884 at Boom Road. On April 2, 1835 Mary married William McLean, born c1810 in Newcastle and died on April 13, 1870 at Boom Road, N.B. They were buried in the old St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Red Bank and they also had ten children.
(4) John Born before 1816 in Co. Londonderry, Ireland; died on July 29, 1832 by an accidental discharge of a gun he was handling at Copp’s Settlement, North Esk, N.B.
(5) Hugh Born c1816 in Co. Londonderry, Ireland; died December 8, 1890 at Boom Road, N.B. On March 31, 1846 he married (1) Mary Quinn. She was born c1824 and died on July 14, 1862. They had one daughter Jane and adopted Walter MacTavish. After Mary’s death, Hugh married (2) Mary C. Hare on April 12, 1864. Mary was born c1827 and died March 21, 1900. She was the daughter of George Hare and Jane Stoops. Hugh and Mary had two children. A tombstone was located at the old St Stephen’s Cemetery, Red Bank but none was located for his wives.
(6) Mary “Jane” Born on December 20, 1817 in Co. Londonderry, Ireland; died on April 14, 1908 at Sunny Corner, N. B. Jane married a widower, William Matchett, the son of William Matchett Sr. and Mary Fraser on April 24, 1866. Prior to this marriage, she had three children: Elizabeth Allison, James W. Allison-Leach and Ellen Parks-Allison. William and Jane did not have children.
(7) Samuel Born c1820 in Co. Londonderry, Ireland; died on August 19, 1876 in Linneus, Maine. Samuel married Ann Stuart, the daughter of John Stuart and Elizabeth McLeod, on February 19, 1846. Ann was born on December 3, 1821 at Boom Road and died on February 3, 1893 in Linnaeus, Maine. They had two children both born in Boom Road. Samuel and Ann were buried in the Freewill Baptist Cemetery in Linneus, Maine.
