1802-1854<br /> BELL, WALTER: was born 25 December 1802 in Lochmaben, Dumfriesshire, Scotland, son of John and Janet Bell, and died 7 November 1854 in the Burnt Church area and is buried in the First Burnt Church Cemetery. He came to New Brunswick as a boy with his mother and stepfather, William Drummond and they settled at Drummond’s Pool in New Jersey, Northumberland Co, NB. He made his living as a carpenter. He built the window frames for the Catholic Church in Neguac out of wood, held together by wooden pegs. He married Marjory Loggie, daughter of Alexander Loggie and Helen Murray, on 3 February 1831. She was born 16 June 1801 in New Jersey, NB, and died 2 May 1884.

She was the daughter of Peter Loggie and Phoebe Murray.<br /> <br /> Janet, born 21 June 1833, died 13 February 1873, married Robert Hamilton, born 1824, died before 1871 on 4 November 1851, St. Andrews Church, Newcastle. He is presumed a son of Simon Hamilton.<br /> <br /> Ellen, born 4 May 1835, died 25 September 1838, baptised as Helen on 1 June 1835.<br /> <br /> Marjory, born 27 July 1837, died 6 September 1837.<br /> <br /> Mary R, born 22 August 1838, died 25 August 1877, married John Hamilton, born 1831, died after 1881, on 1 July 1858. He is presumed a son of Simon Hamilton.<br /> <br /> Jane M, born 30 May 1841, died 10 August 1901, married Joseph MacKnight, born 1837, died 29 March 1895, on 29 October 1863. He was a son of Samuel T. MacKnight and Jane U. Loggie.<br /> <br /> Elizabeth, born 15 October 1843, died 22 November 1925, married John Simpson, born 4 July 1838, died 8 April 1923, on 13 November 1872.
