O’BRIEN, PATRICK: born before 1816 in Newton Stewart, County Tyrone, Ireland and died after 1849. He married Bridget Dorrington on 7 July 1845 in Northumberland County. The daughter of Michael Dorrington and Catherine Grady, she was born about 1816 and died after 1845. Patrick came from Ireland on the ship “Hannah” (or Harriet) which sank off Prince Edward Island. Patrick and his brother Michael eventually made their way to NB and settled on the Little South West Miramichi at Halcomb.
