She was born circa 1817 in either Ireland or Newfoundland, came to New Brunswick around 1836, and died after 1871. Martin was a farmer & a labourer. They were Roman Catholic.<br />

He married Margaret Hall, born 6 December 1828, Ireland, died December 1904, Newcastle, on 14 July 1857 in St. Patrick’s RC Church, Nelson. She was the daughter of Patrick Hall and Mary Carry. They raised a family of 5 in Newcastle area. Jane, born about 1830, age & name determined by 1851 census. Patrick, born about 1832, age & name determined by 1851 census.<br /> <br /> Martin & Catherine:<br /> <br /> Their issue:<br /> Daniel, born 19 June 1838, The Meadows, North Esk Parish, NB, died 21 December 1922, NB. He married Mary Lyons, daughter of Paul Lyons and Margaret Ryan, on 18 July 1865. She was born 19 June 1833 at Exmoor, North West Miramichi, NB and died after 1891. They settled at Exmoor, where they raised a family of six children.<br /> <br /> John, born September 1840 in The Meadows North Esk Parish, NB, died after 1922, probably in Bangor, Maine, USA, from the obituary of Daniel Murphy, where he moved at an early age.<br /> <br /> Margaret, born February 1843 in The Meadows, North Esk, NB, died 26 May 1917. She married William Richard Crawford on 12 March 1873. He was born 1850 in Derby, South Esk Parish, NB and died 8 March 1923 in Derby, NB. They had six children, who predeceased them according to St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery Records, Derby, NB. Margaret also had a son before her marriage to William Crawford, who lived with them before moving to Aroostook Co, ME, USA.<br /> <br /> Anna, born 17 Dec 1844 in The Meadows, North Esk , NB, died 7 April 1918.<br /> <br /> Hannorah, born 6 August 1846 in The Meadows, North Esk, NB, died 13 August 1924. She married Daniel Cripps on 2 November 1869. He was born 1847 and died 25 December 1923. They had twelve children.<br /> <br /> Date of Arrival: around 1837 from Ireland<br /> <br />
