MCTAVISH, TAVIS: born about 1785 in Inverness-shire, Scotland and died 25 April 1860 in No Co. He married Ann McDonald 1 July 1817 in No Co. She was born about 1788 in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and died 1882 in No Co. They made their home in South Esk Parish. They are both buried in St. James & St. John UC Cemetery, Newcastle.<br />

Catherine, born about 1823, South Esk, died 21 May 1891. She married Hugh Morrison on 8 October 1844 in North Esk Parish. He was born about 1808 in Inverness-shire, Scotland and died 26 January 1886. They lived on a farm in South Esk Parish. Catherine and Hugh raised Thomas James McLean, son of Lachlan and Rebecca McLean as well as two of Jessie and Neil’s children, Margaret and John.<br /> <br /> Jessie, born about 1826, South Esk, died 8 November 1864. She married Neil Morrison on 8 October 1844 in No Co. He was born about 1813 in Inverness-shire, Scotland and died 3 November 1868. They had five children. They resided beside Hugh and Catherine in South Esk.<br /> <br /> Margaret, born about 1828, South Esk, died after 1882. She married George MacLeod, from Scotch Ridge, Charlotte Co, NB, on 23 August 1864 in South Esk. He was born about 1822 and died 3 January 1882 in South Esk. They had three children.<br /> <br /> Alexander, born about 1830, South Esk and died after 1840.<br /> <br /> Ann, born about 1832, South Esk, died 16 November 1861 in North Esk. It is believed she remained unmarried.<br /> <br /> Elizabeth, born about 1834, South Esk, died 19 May 1865, No Co.<br /> <br /> Date of Arrival: before 1815 from Scotland<br /> <br />
