Church history
*
Paragraph that details some of the information about this church.
Until 1896 Presbyterians in Black Brook (later Loggieville) worshipped at St. Andrew’s in Chatham. On Mar. 27, 1896, these Presbyterians established a Presbyterian congregation in Loggieville. The first services were held in the old school and later the Temperance Hall.
In 1900 this congregation was offered land by Robert Loggie as a site for a new church. The cornerstone was laid in 1903 by the then Lieutenant Governor of NB, the Hon. Jabez Bunting Snowball. The church was built in 1903 and dedicated on May 22, 1904. This church, known as the Knox Presbyterian, remained Presbyterian until church union in 1925 when it became Knox United. Today this church is part of the Loggieville – Black River Pastoral Charge.
