Paragraph that details some of the information about this church.
Rev. Howard Reid, who became pastor of the Holtville and Parker’s Ridge Pentecostal Churches in 1951, was the founder of the Boiestown Pentecostal Church.
Construction of the new church began in 1953 on land donated by Tom and Emma Wilson.
It was decided in the 1960’s that three Pentecostal churches so close to one another was unnecessary, and thus the Parker’s Ridge Church was closed, and the building sold in 1967. In 1980, the remaining two churches in the circuit established their own church governments with their own pastors.
In 1982, a building project of the Boiestown Church changed the appearance of the church, and made the building more functional.
In 1997, the church was again enlarged to provide a new kitchen, hall, and baptismal font. In 2005, the sanctuary was enlarged.
Sometime after 2005, the Boiestown Pentecostal Church became the Gateway of Hope, with Rev. Robbie Hanson as the first pastor.
